Have you ever seen a classic Metal band in concert and if so who was it and how was your expirience?

Oh yes indeedy. Well, i've seen Metallica a number of times, of course Was just online last night sourcing tix for my next gig actually!

I say Slayer in '93. I was a massive Slayer fan then. They played my favourite venue in this country, a small, old-time concert hall. (Think it holds about 2500). DoA had just come out, they were fantastic, note perfect, mean and nasty. It was very awesome and i really enjoyed the music. Machine Head supported them and they invited me onto their bus afterwards...but that's a whole other story.

Also, saw Megadeth last year. I wasn't expecting much with the new lineup, cos i don't have much time for Mustaine, even if he has The Best Hair In Rock, but he was humble to the core, played a tiny tiny tiny venue, did all the hits, absolutely rocked the classics. You wanna seen him, he was up on the stage the entire time playing like a maniac, a complete professional (not what i remember Mustaine to be from the old days). The rest of the band went off and had little breaks and he was front and centre the whole time playing his ass off! I had massive new found respect for him, especially since i know how much hard work he must have put in to play a brutal set like that following his old injuries. Anyway, he was humble as anything, and i was like 9 feet away from him and was amazed that he's almost 50 and tearing up all these old thrash tunes like a 20 yr old. Very, Very cool. Especially since Megadeth used to be an arena band and there he was doing venues the size of my living room.
Plus the crowd was all kids, young kids, who came out to see Megadeth and i was so pleased to see the kids getting into proper metal, it was just an awesome night.
